I want to focus on one important part of our conversation: the protein question. In my 22 years of eating a vegan diet, the most common question I have been asked is where I get my protein.
At first, I was concerned. Where was I getting my protein? I had been taught that meat is the best source of protein. I soon learned that I ate more than enough protein. Society has a strange obsession with protein!
Dr. Campbell was trained as a traditional medical doctor and completed 7 years of training. When I asked him if we had to worry about eating enough protein when eating vegan meals he was clear when he said a plant based diet was the healthiest one available.
Do your own homework. Look up how much protein is found in broccoli versus a steak.
